I just moved back to Ohio after living in the central valley of California for almost three years. People still mention that I'm all grown up and keep asking how being an adult is going, but I really don't know what they're referring to.

jef etters tips of the day
Jef Etters was a colleague of mine who gave me life tips on a daily basis via a telephone call from a rotary phone. I would then transcribe the tips and post them here for the benefit of all mankind. He didn't know what tumblr was (nor does he now), but he did want to share all his wisdom with the world. enjoy.
PLEASE NOTE: Jef did finally get free long-distance after 7pm EST and will occasionally call to give me tips to transcribe. Be on the look out, it'll change your life.

GPOYW: “I used to live there/autumn is my favourite” edition.

This was taken in the front yard of my parents old house in Ohio. Autumn is my favourite season. I know everyone who lives where I do now thinks autumn here only lasts a few days, but to me the entire winter is going to be like one big long autumn, and I AM SO EXCITED.

i used to keep every jones soda fortune i got, unless it was one i already had. it got kind of ridiculous. when i moved out of my parents i recycled a lot of them and made the really good ones into magnets. i find fortune cookie fortunes easier to collect. currently, though, my collection is getting kind of out of hand. but what can i say, “i’m a collector.”

playing catch up.

so i have plenty of images from my vestiges series just waiting for me to edit/upload them. however, i am in the process of moving out of my apartment i’ve been living in for 3 years and may be without internetz at home for a few days. anyway, what i’m trying to say is that the project will not be occuring in time with actual events, and actually most of the images won’t even make it to this silly blog until months after the fact. i guess that doesn’t really matter, but i’m mostly just saying this for myself. in conceptualizing the series, to me it should have happened in pace with actual events of my roommate and i moving out. however, this isn’t the case.

other events that may put a proverbial wrench in the works: i leave for pennsylvania/distant lands in just over a week and won’t be back in ohio until mid january…. don’t fret though, that’s what the queue is for!
