I just moved back to Ohio after living in the central valley of California for almost three years. People still mention that I'm all grown up and keep asking how being an adult is going, but I really don't know what they're referring to.

jef etters tips of the day
Jef Etters was a colleague of mine who gave me life tips on a daily basis via a telephone call from a rotary phone. I would then transcribe the tips and post them here for the benefit of all mankind. He didn't know what tumblr was (nor does he now), but he did want to share all his wisdom with the world. enjoy.
PLEASE NOTE: Jef did finally get free long-distance after 7pm EST and will occasionally call to give me tips to transcribe. Be on the look out, it'll change your life.

I got a little behind on actually posting photos from my 365 project due to SXSW. I’m going to play catch up over the next week and post a few a day.
This is Ander. He is one of my very best friends. Today is his birthday and I am so glad that I know him because he is one of the best ones. It seems fitting that the first of my back-logged images from this project would be a portrait of him in his kitchen in Columbus, where we spend an inordinate amount of time baking pizza, dancing and making his roommates dog really angry (she is a lot like the adults in Footloose and hates all forms of fun and/or dancing). Happy birthday, Ander.

This girl is literally one of the great ones, one I’m proud, honored and humbled to know and call a friend. Yesterday was her birthday and I’m glad I got to spend some of it with her, even if I wasn’t feeling that well. It was worth it to bring her joy on her special day. She deserves it and I want to be there to remind her of how awesome she is whenever she needs it.

I was lucky enough to meet Alex last week, play frisbee with him in an overgrown field and climb a black diamond hill with him to watch a million fireflies light up all the trees. Alex also wears sunglasses like a boss and is really great at sharing.

I miss this one. I am overwhelmingly happy that he’s still my friend. I don’t know what I would do without friends like him… I’m seriously a lucky girl to have the handful of close friends that I do… It makes me remember what’s important in life. Thanks for being you, Ross.
