I've lived in the central valley of california for awhile now, after spending the first of my years in pennsylvania/ohio. People keep mentioning that i'm all grown up, or asking how being an adult is going -- I really don't know what they're referring to.

jef etters tips of the day
Jef Etters was a colleague of mine who gave me life tips on a daily basis via a telephone call from a rotary phone. I would then transcribe the tips and post them here for the benefit of all mankind. He didn't know what tumblr was (nor does he now), but he did want to share all his wisdom with the world. enjoy.
PLEASE NOTE: Jef did finally get free long-distance after 7pm EST and will occasionally call to give me tips to transcribe. Be on the look out, it'll change your life.

Eames reinforces the depths of women’s claims on beer, explaining, “From its very inception some 8,000 years ago, every ancient society’s beer-creation myth tells the same story: The drink was a gift from a female deity to the women of that community.” Keep reading … In all honesty, it took me years to cultivate a true interest in beer, but now that I have it’s hard to deny. I know which styles of beer I enjoy, which ones I don’t and why. I make recommendations to my male friends based on the types of wine they like, ensuring them they haven’t really tried beer if they don’t like it. Beer encompasses many flavors and there is a style for every palate, I even found a beer my mom likes. Turns out, I was just discovering an interest that has been engrained in womankind for centuries, who knew?

In all honesty, it took me years to cultivate a true interest in beer, but now that I have it’s hard to deny. I know which styles of beer I enjoy, which ones I don’t and why. I make recommendations to my male friends based on the types of wine they like, ensuring them they haven’t really tried beer if they don’t like it. Beer encompasses many flavors and there is a style for every palate, I even found a beer my mom likes. Turns out, I was just discovering an interest that has been engrained in womankind for centuries, who knew?
